Honey Buzzard: Honey Amber Ale, 5.0%

More about the beer
Amber ales get their colour and flavour from caramel and crystal malts, which bring toffee, biscuit and a gentle sweetness balanced by the hops. Here’s the twist: there’s no actual honey in this beer, which is why it’s vegan.
More about the bird
Despite the name, the honey buzzard isn’t a true buzzard at all, just a lookalike from a different family. It’s a summer visitor from Africa, and only a few dozen pairs breed in the UK, which makes it one of our rarest birds of prey. Its diet is wasp and bee grubs, which it digs straight out of the nest with its feet. Dense, scale-like face feathers protect it from stings, and slit-shaped nostrils keep out wax and soil. Devon has one of the best places in Britain to see one: the raptor viewpoint at Haldon Forest in summer.
But Why Honey Buzzard?
Buzzards are pretty badass. Luke came up with it. That's it.
